My Target Audience.
With my Trailer being based off a pre-existing product, I will have a large fan base from the game itself which can prove useful. The game at it's peak has a daily count of 2.1 million players a day who are avid consumers. Equally at it's current standing after release there are around 147,000 players a day globally, this still shows despite the decline there is still a large fan-base that will appreciate the product and consume it as well as merchandise and associated products.
This graph shows the decline in use of the product since the release. However it only reaches till May 30th and doesn't account for updates and additional content released after this time that would've increased the use of it.
As the graph shows the existing users from the perquisite product are declining, however it's still in the thousands and can easily increase with the release of content from Ubisoft the institution whom created the game. As well as this it's fair to say there would be an increase of interest with the introduction of a motion picture which I would be doing
The genre and idea has a large popularity in the age range 16-25 however it must be noted there will always be leeway outside of both of these ages. So on paper it could be said my audience will be the ages between 16-25. This also covers a unisex perspective as when looking at the viewers on shows like The Walking Dead and The Last Ship as well as Zoo there is a more equal balance as to male and female viewers.
The Last ship as mentioned is rather similar to my product. A pandemic breaks out and the US Navy are sent to search for and then distribute and cure through the seasons. The show has had enough viewers and good ratings through it's initial release that they have made 3 seasons. The idea of a pandemic apocalypse is evidently appealing and is evident in the table below.

These ratings are from America alone and don't consider the viewers in the UK as well as other area's around the world. This means that the averages are going to toll up and be even bigger than shown, therefore it's fair to make an educated assumption that the genre and execution is effective and enjoyed by many people. With these initial results in America and then adding the views sustained in other area's we can use this evidence to support the production of my product.
With this logic in mind. My product could almost piggy back off of the success of these other shows in an effort to promote the genre/ idea of my film. This would mean that the combined following of the genre would result in a large initial following and support in the early stages. Then as time progresses there would be a greater amount of support and "hype" for the product resulting in maximum profit and media coverage as well as the greatest following.
Overall it's fair to say that the genre and idea fit in well based on existing products. The introduction of a new theme and way of living in the dystopian society will be refreshing and will allow consumers to enjoy the product whilst also relating it to other products in an effort to widen the audience and following.
